The Project Consists of the development of a new, major urban park in Cairo, The site is bounded from the East by Salah Salem Street, South by Bab-Al- Wazir cemetery, West by the Old Ayyubid (Fatimid) Walls of Cairo, and North by Al Azhar Street. The Site is exclusively developed as a park with varying treatment of planted areas, recreational and leisure facilities, and a number of small buildings the project also consists of:-
Port Said East Port and it's industrial zone logistic park, with total area of (35) km2
and the industrial zone south of the Port (87km2), inside perimeter of Port Said East
Port, having great potential to become an economic "pole" creating large
opportunity, for the country's and the region's economic development.
With its prime location at the northern entrance/ exit of the Suez Canal and vast
areas of open land for expansion, the development of Port Said East port has the
potential for serving as an engine for the economic growth as the World Bank report
has stated in April 2005. however, according to the World Bank assessment of the
area, this has to be supported by an integrated Master Plan and development strategy
for both Port Said East and West ports.
The renovation of a 100 years old historical library building to accommodate the new technology forlibraries in the new century.
The building is located in a difficult & congested site of Cairo City Center, surrounded by mixed use oldbuildings, with the Museum of Islamic Art occupying the ground, street level floor & garden area.
Renovation & development works include introduction of: (1) a new floating freeform steel structure floorsupported on the bearing walls of the old building as a mean to increase the spaces of the floor area toaccommodate new and modified functions of the oldest national library building in Egypt. (2) a newbasement to be constructed under the existing museum garden area. The construction of the basement inthis particularly sensitive site forms a challenge to the contractor and project manager alike.

The project comprises of a land area of 25,000 m 2 with a built-up area of approximately 6,000 m 2 which sums-up approximately to about 25% of the land's area.
The university consists of a management office building, 4 faculty buildings (Management, Accounting, Information
Technology, and Design), buildings for training, security, a super market, a mosque, a clinic, staff accommodation building, male dorms, female dorms, A social club, A cafeteria, an academic building, An Electricity & Transformer Building, TAGI
Management Building, TAGI-IRAQ head quarters, TAGI employee's accommodation Building & last but not least a water tank
